On this page, you will find relevant information to support you and your child through this academic year. To keep up-to-date with what is happening in our year group, please remember to read the weekly Friday email.

PE and Games

Please ensure your child is wearing correct PE kit on the following days. 

4C: Wednesday (games) and Thursday (PE)

4M: Tuesday (PE) and Wednesday (games)

4D: Tuesday (PE) and Wednesday (games)

Should there be any changes to the above, it will be communicated to you in the Friday email.

Home Learning Expectations

Reading: As a school, we place great emphasis on reading. Children are expected to read for a minimum of 15 minutes each day. This must be logged in their diaries and signed by an adult. A team point is rewarded for every entry in their diaries. A raffle ticket will be awarded for five consecutive entries. 

Literacy and Maths: Literacy and maths tasks are set each week. These tasks help to consolidate their learning from the week or extend an area for refinement. Tasks are to be completed in their home learning book unless stated otherwise. 

Spellings: Children are set weekly spellings every Friday. These will be tested on the following Friday. Children have been given a spelling folder which is updated weekly with their new spellings. Their tests are completed on the back, so you can monitor their progress.
